Inspection
Your system is more than just a lint trap! There are vent lines, joint connections, a termination point, and lint inside the dryer that you can’t see. Our inspection allows us to see where the major components of your system are located, and if they are working properly, and up to code. Besides the visual inspection, we also use special tools to measure air flow.
Post Inspection
At the completion of our inspection, our Wizards provide price quotes specific to your home. As no two houses are identical, the same can be said about your dryer and laundry set up. Overall, there are three main factors that contribute to the price, and they include length of the line, height off the ground, and evaluating for code compliance. Assessing the triple threat components of your dryer vent system should always be left to professionals.
Length of the Line
Keep in mind: dryer vents can vary in length, some measuring in at a whopping 80 feet! (We don’t have to tell you eighty feet is quite a distance.) Going this far into a dryer vent isn’t for amateurs, and specialized training and equipment are needed to ensure the span of all dryer vents are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.

Height off the Ground
Did you know dryer vents can terminate in a crawl space, on the roof or on the main level of a house? Figuring this out on your own could be quite a challenge, and most likely your toolbox doesn’t have the specialized equipment needed to get the vent cleaned. Not to mention we don’t want you climbing a ladder and risking your life to clean your dryer vent, when our experts are well trained.
Code Compliance
You are likely familiar with foil or plastic dryer venting that you can pick up at your local hardware store. We hate to inform you that these popular types of venting are unsafe to use for venting your dryer. The ridges collect lint, and both materials are highly flammable, making them non-code compliant. Our Wizards like to follow the rules; if we discover these venting materials being used, we will happily replace them with venting constructed of code compliant material.
Appliance manufacturers recommend servicing your dryer vent on a regular basis to keep the dryer running efficiently and reduce the risk of a dryer fire. Check your appliance manual for your manufacturer’s suggested maintenance schedule.
